Lighting for “Home of Distinction” in Southington

Home of Distinction at the North Ridge Estates is a future show home in Southington, CT – one of our showroom locations. Constructed by Lovley Development, this community will feature 94 properties that showcase the latest materials and designs, including lighting – which Connecticut Lighting Centers is honored to provide. Sarah Cody from Fox 61 recently stopped by our showroom to explore LEDs, decorative hardware and outdoor lighting with President David Director.

Light as an Art Form

Courtesy of energy-efficient and cost-effective light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs, we are able to make a variety of objects into beautiful lights. Yet, even traditional fixtures fit LED bulbs, so home and business owners can feel good about preserving the environment. As David explains, LED flush mounts are changing the entire landscape of lighting. These easy-to-install, affordable fixtures are growing in popularity for closets and garages. LED flush mounts can also be used in bigger rooms – like kitchens – as functional lights.

Outdoor Lanterns for Home of Distinction

This fall, the North Ridge Estates will be open for tours. Connecticut Lighting Centers provided the outdoor lanterns for the show home. When consumers walk into a space, they will be able to see how different fixtures affect a space. Similar to our showrooms, where you can see products like path lighting outside and ceiling fans indoors, future homeowners will get a feel for the atmosphere of the North Ridge Estate properties through our lighting design.

Home of Distinction tours start in September and the proceeds will benefit Bread for Life, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed the hungry in Southington. Contact us today to learn more about our involvement in this project.
