Cozy Up This Winter With An Electric Fireplace
While the thought of winter lurking around the corner can be a depressing one for some, many look forward to hunkering down with their family, drinking hot cocoa, and cozying up by a fire. If your fireplace or wood stove is unusable, in bad shape or in a bad location, don’t worry, there are other ways to warm up this winter.
Welcome to the world of wall-mounted electric fireplaces. These aren’t your conventional space heaters – they are both beautiful and functional with a sleek design and optional heat output. There’s no venting required, no ashes, and installation is as easy as hanging a picture frame.
We currently carry four different models of electric fireplaces at Connecticut Lighting Centers (see below), and have all of them on display at both our Hartford and Southington showrooms. Each of these electric fireplaces includes a remote control for adjusting flame height and heat settings. Not only do they add to the ambiance of your home, but they put out a significant amount of heat. For example, the each electric heater below has the capability to warm up a 220 sq. ft. room.

DF-EFP800 – For a more natural look, the new Stone Electric Fireplace showcases the beauty possessed by stone, offset by the rich appearance of the internal flames. The polished beige marble-like finish will add a rural touch to your urban space, which is further enhanced by the use of faux charcoal. DF-EFP400 – The Fantasy Electric Fireplace adds a touch of modernity and whimsy to any room. The beautiful colors that come from the electric fire, meeting with the glass beads is a welcome sight in any space. DF-EFP900 – A perfect addition to a contemporary or modern interior. DF-EFP148 – This is another contemporary electric fireplace in a sleek black finish. It is quite similar to the DF-EFP900 but is much larger with a more oblong rectangular shape. Like the others, it makes use of faux charcoal to create the illusion of real flames.
