Connecticut Lighting on the Radio with Ray Dunaway
On Saturday, April 16, Connecticut Lighting President David Director was a guest on WTIC-AM radio with Ray Dunaway discussing the latest trends in outdoor lighting featuring Kichler. Listen to the discussion below for further details:
Lighting Controls
David spoke about the growing trend of exterior lighting, including the new abilities to dim different lights, on different controls, on different levels over a 1,000-foot area. The advances of technology allow you to use an application to turn lights off and on from your tablet or smartphone, whether you’re home or not. Years ago, this feature would have cost thousands – now it’s only a few hundred dollars to take control of your home’s ambiance.
LED
You can also save on energy costs by switching to LED bulbs. Rather than using several hundred watts per landscape lighting product with a standard light bulb, LED runs on under 100 watts for even longer than a typical incandescent bulb.
Variety and Simplicity
Exterior lighting products, as well as the switches and control units associated with them, come in an array of different finishes and styles. These products are easy to install and manage, but the professionals at Connecticut Lighting Centers are willing to help you through the process every step of the way.
