Disassemble The Lighting Fixture

An old lighting fixture must be completely disassembled in order to be properly cleaned and restored and for the electrical wiring to be redone and brought up to modern-day safety standards. This can be a tedious process, as many older lighting fixtures have many components and can be difficult to reassemble, especially if any of the original parts are misplaced or lost.

Clean the Lighting Fixture

The next step in the lamp and lighting repair process is to clean the light fixture. This will help us to truly see what is wrong with the lighting fixture. We'll use a gentle chemical wash to strip off dirt, grime, and any additive to the fixture that was placed. As part of this process, we'll polish the fixture to help bring out its original color, as well as hand rub each piece with paste wax.

Discover the Repair Problem

Now that we can see the lighting fixture, our technicians can diagnose and discover the reason for the lamp and/or lighting fixture repair. Perhaps, it was just a loose wire or a missing connector that caused the problem. Whichever it was, we'll get to work and repair it, leaving the lighting fixture looking as good as new.

Assemble the Lighting Fixture And Add Finishing Touches

Once the lamp or other lighting fixture has been repaired, we'll reassemble the lighting fixture and add finishing touches if need be. For example, if your antique lighting fixture was missing any shades or requires a new glass bowl, we'll replace it with a new one. After this stage, you might not even recognize your old lighting fixture!

Test the Electrical Components And It's Ready For Its New Home

Once the lamp and/or lighting fixture has been assembled, we'll test the electrical components to ensure it is working properly. A new light bulb may be required in this stage. Finally, the lighting fixture is ready to be picked up by you and taken to its new home where it can shine brightly and add a unique, beautiful look to your space for many more years to come.
